This would look very attractive and interesting if framed. As various manufacturers entered the business, and competition grew, the cardboard matchboxes began to flaunt highly coloured and greatly varied labels, one unforeseen result was that a new hobby was born, the matchbox collectors - phillumenists as they are called - now enjoy a hobby older than stamp collecting.taken from "The story of matches" http://www.gsn.uk.com/matches.html
